    ART CURATOR & CONSERVATION ADVISOR

My work, apart from being the chief editor of Magyar Tükör Magazine, is covering the Hungarian cultural diaspora’s ethno-political battles for identity and recognition. My role, as a conservator and curator has been built on years of experience dating back to the the first struggles of cultural identities in the socialist era before the 89’ regime change and the tumultuous but hopeful years after. From 1995 I worked as cultural manager, sociologist and a journalist for Magyar Narancs - one of the significant independent progressive weekly magazine, publishing cultural topics. I conducted radio shows (Tilos, Petőfi), founded an autonomous women's magazine (Tűsarok), a contemporary dance board (Lábán Prize), pop-cultural training (University of Music, Pécs), led a socio-theater project (Lüzistraté project, Zsámbék), assisted in contemporary art mentoring (Music for our feet, Pécs), taught creative writing (Werk) and professional journalism (ZEN), and been a former playwright (Košice, Liliomfi), as well as wrote books (Nurses). Currently, I work for the Theater magazine, HVG supplements, numerous literary magazines and I am also present as a representative and communication staff in some cultural projects. I passionately collect stories. I pursue an in-depth research in the diaspora culture salvage project and my main goal is to create a cultural map of the diaspora.
