Bridging Australian and European Cultures Through Art & Storytelling
First Nations Film Festival – Bridging Cultures Through Cinema
The First Nations Film Festival brings Australian Indigenous and independent cinema to European audiences, fostering cultural exchange and deeper understanding through storytelling. Hosted in Budapest with a hybrid format, the festival features six in-person screenings at the Budapest Music Center and six films available online via Contemporary Arts Media’s streaming platform. Running from July to September, the festival also includes virtual artist introductions and interactive Q&A opportunities, creating a dynamic space for dialogue between Australian and European audiences.
Bringing Australia’s art to Europe
In partnership with ArtBits (formerly Contemporary Arts Media), we are dedicated to introducing Australian cinema, performing artists—both established and emerging, musicians and visual artists — to European audiences. Through curated events, festivals, and collaborations with cultural institutions, we create opportunities for artists to showcase their talent on an international stage. Our mission is to foster cross-cultural exchange, celebrate diverse artistic expressions, and build lasting connections between Australia and Europe’s vibrant performing arts scenes.
